City of Sydney Carols – Martin Place
Hills Concert Productions provided staging, audio and lighting for the City of Sydney's annual lighting of the tree. The show staged in Martin Place to a capacity audience featured a range of performers including the Harlem Gospel Choir, playschools Justine Clarke and children's entertainment.

Our 12 metre stage roof was erected on custom scaff towers on top of the amphitheatre platform. A clear roof was provided especially for the show so as not to obscure the view of the massive 20 metre high tree.

The clients brief was that the sound and lighting should not to obscure the sightlines to the tree so our Geo S compact line array provided a high quality audio solution which was almost invisible.
Lighting designer, Mark Hammer provided an incredible light show using the city buildings as a setscape to provide an extension of the stage proper, then with our Mac 700s provided colour washes and massive gobo looks to the whole of Martin Place.
